Why we do it
For smaller businesses
GuestList is here for small holiday property owners: a couple running a six-room B&B, someone letting out their holiday home, or a farm with a campsite during the summer. Existing booking tools are designed for larger hotels and chains, or tend to be over-complicated and clunky.
We wanted to provide something that anyone could use, that was not limited by your budget, IT investment or skills.
For the users
GuestList works well because we always put users first. The user experience is the reason we work, and we love refining a process to make it simpler and quicker. We worked with users while we tested and developed before launch, and we'll keep working with users as GuestList grows.
Our monthly payment model makes sure that we keep looking after the users. If you don't find GuestList easy and useful, you can walk away any time you like. It won't cost anything to cancel and there is no upfront investment to waste - plus you can take all your data with you. Our success is all about improving the user experience, so customers keep using GuestList, and keep recommending us to new customers.
How we do it
Using web technology
We work with web technology because it's flexible and universal. It lets us make GuestList as simple and effective as it can be. It lets you get to your GuestList account from anywhere and with nothing more than internet access. And because web technology is so familiar to most people, it's easier to use - if you've browsed a website, you can use GuestList.
Making information useful
GuestList brings your data to life, building information and processes around you to make the user experience as simple as possible. We link and present information in a way that makes sense to you - turning a set of dates into a visual calendar, or a list of numbers into a guest statement. GuestList works because it puts you in charge of your own information.
Doing less
One of the strengths of GuestList is its simplicity - it includes the features you need, but isn't over-complicated with the ones you don't. We always try to do less with GuestList - removing features that aren't important, reducing choices you don't need to make, and cutting out unnecessary stages.
We 'edit' GuestList, making every element and feature justify its presence, so you're left with a simple tool that does exactly what you need and no more.
Looking after the user
Poor software is usually poor because the user has been forgotten. It's important to get past the 'hard' functionality and focus on how it actually feels to use the system. We want you to feel relaxed and in control when you're using GuestList. So we let you get straight to what you need without distraction, and we keep things simple.
